The Coalition is a voluntary initiative whose membership is diverse. An Afro-centric think-tank dedicated to bolstering access to credible information to shape public dialogue, inform policy and drive inclusive sustainable development in Africa.

AKCMO

AKCMO unites small/ community radios in Kenya and works to amplify grassroots voices against misinformation through promoting Media and Information Literacy.

AMWIK

A non-profit for women in media that aims to promote a gender-responsive and informed society for equitable development, human and women's rights.

ARTICLE 19

ARTICLE 19 EA champions freedom of expression and access to information in Eastern Africa, promoting digital rights and global impact.

Build Up

A non-profit working at the intersection of peacebuilding and technology to implement programs, conduct research, and develop technical solutions to address conflict.

CA Kenya

Responsible for the development and regulation of ICT sectors, including multimedia, telecommunications and cybersecurity. It lends policy expertise to the Coalition.

Code for Africa

As Africa's largest network of civic tech and open data labs, CFA uses technology and data to build digital democracies and empower citizens with actionable information.

A collective of media and related organisations committed to countering mis/disinformation through collaboration, debunking, training, amplification and advocacy.

Independent national institution established by the Media Council Act to set media standards. MCK works to promote and protect media freedom, ethics and professionalism.

Moi University

In addition to leading industry research, Moi University offers programmes for communication careers with a strong emphasis on in writing, reporting, and media analytical skills.

Statutory body that promotes national unity, equity and the elimination of ethnic discrimination by facilitating equal opportunity, conflict resolution and respect for diversity.

NCPWD

State agency established to promote and protect equalization of opportunities and the realization of human rights for PWDs to enjoy decent livelihoods.

NSC Peace

Interagency committee that brings together peace stakeholders to coordinate efforts geared towards peace building and national and cross-border conflict management.

PIN

Connects underserved young Africans with digital opportunities and ensures digital rights for all. It offers programmes in lifeskills, ICT, financial readiness and convenes the Digital Rights forum.

Pwani Teknowgalz

Bridges the digital gender gap by equipping women and girls with digital skills, empowering female leaders in STEM through programs and mentorship.
